The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has severely impacted Germany, leading to a sharp decline in natural gas supply and directly driving up electricity production costs. Many energy intensive enterprises are facing the predicament of soaring energy prices. For companies reliant on large amounts of electricity, ensuring a stable power supply while reducing production costs has become a pressing issue. This has also resulted in explosive growth in market demand for solar system.
Martin, the owner of a large chemical plant in Germany, was affected by rising energy prices. To reduce the plant's electricity costs, Martin led his technical team on a two week market research trip. His team discovered that solar inverter from the Chinese brand Xindun Power were very popular in the German market. Xindun Power has over 20 years of manufacturing experience, exports products to more than 100 countries worldwide, and has obtained international certifications such as CE, IEC, and TUV, demonstrating high technical reliability. Martin contacted our team via email, detailing that his factory primarily produces chemical raw materials. The computers, monitors, and testing equipment in the factory operate year round, consuming thousands of kilowatt hours of electricity each month. Chemical production demands extremely high power stability; even millisecond level power outages or voltage fluctuations can disrupt reactions, spoil raw materials, or even cause safety accidents. Our engineering team quickly analyzed the client's factory and the local power situation. Considering the complex load characteristics of a chemical plant and its high requirements for starting current, Mr. Martin ultimately decided to purchase 100 of our 8KW and 12KW solar inverters, paired with a corresponding lithium battery energy storage system.
Because our solar inverter have more than three times the peak starting power, they can easily drive the starting of high power motors in the factory, avoiding the problem of equipment malfunction due to insufficient power at startup. Furthermore, the inverter have comprehensive overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, and short circuit protection functions, quickly cutting off power in case of circuit abnormalities, thus providing a strong defense for the factory's electrical safety. The solar inverter also features a newly added fault code query function. Combined with a remote monitoring system, staff can monitor the equipment's operating status in real time, even when not at the factory. In the event of a fault, the system immediately pushes fault codes and warning messages, facilitating rapid problem location and resolution by technicians, effectively preventing prolonged downtime losses due to equipment failure.
The combination of the solar inverter and lithium battery achieves a synergistic effect, exceeding the initial cost. Lithium batteries offer advantages such as high charge/discharge efficiency, long cycle life, and high energy density. During the day, after the solar panels meet the factory's real time power needs, excess energy can be stored in the lithium battery. At night, in cases of insufficient sunlight or sudden power outages, the lithium battery discharge rapidly, and the inverter converts the DC power into stable AC power to supply the equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production.
After the solar system was installed and put into operation, Martin was very satisfied with our solar inverter and lithium battery: the factory's power supply is more stable, with no voltage fluctuations even during peak electricity consumption periods; electricity costs for some production lines have decreased by approximately 20%; and the remote monitoring function allows for real time monitoring of system operation, reducing maintenance costs. The factory's monthly electricity costs have decreased by 40%, and at this rate, the equipment investment will be recovered in less than two years.
The successful application of Xindun solar inverter and lithium battery in the German chemical plant has not only brought significant economic and environmental benefits to the plant but has also promoted the development of Germany's solar green energy economy.
