Off Grid Solar Power System Applied for Power Station in China

Although China's overall power supply system is relatively well developed, under the continuous impetus of the national "dual carbon" strategy, green energy policies, and sustainable development goals, solar power generation is gradually transforming from a "supplementary energy" solution into an important power solution. For industrial, commercial, and regional power supply projects, solar power generation can not only respond to policy guidance and reduce carbon footprint, but also reduce long term electricity costs through energy structure optimization.
Mr. Huang, a client, received a project from his superiors to build off grid solar power station in Yunnan Province, China. The primary goal was to provide a stable power supply to surrounding industrial, commercial, and residential businesses, while simultaneously controlling electricity costs. Before implementing the plan, Mr. Huang led his team to conduct detailed monitoring, evaluation, and in depth research on Yunnan's abundant solar resources. Data showed that Yunnan's annual total solar radiation is mostly between 5000-6000 MJ/㎡, and 94% of its counties have average daily sunshine duration exceeding 2000 hours, making it one of China's richest provinces in solar resources and highly suitable for building off grid solar power station.
Mr. Huang shortlisted several well known off grid solar power system suppliers in China. He obtained Xindun Power's contact information through their official website and expressed a strong desire to purchase their solar system. During our communication with the client, we gained a detailed understanding of the power station's power supply range, the location of electricity use, daily electricity demand, and the high standards required for the system's long term operational stability, reliability, and ease of maintenance. After gathering this key information, our engineering team conducted an in depth analysis, taking into account Yunnan's unique climate conditions, average daily sunshine duration, and Mr. Huang's expectations regarding investment return period and cost effectiveness. We then tailored off grid solar system specifically for the customer: 9.44KW off grid solar power system using 16pcs 590W high efficiency solar panels, capable of generating approximately 42 kWh of electricity per day under local sunshine conditions; paired with 180Ah gel battery bank with storage capacity of approximately 34.5 kWh, effectively ensuring continuous power supply at night and during cloudy or rainy weather. Meanwhile, the system is equipped with 192V 50A MPPT solar controller to improve solar utilization efficiency, and 192V 24KW three phase low frequency inverter to meet the requirements of industrial grade three phase loads for voltage stability and instantaneous start up capability. It also adopts solar + mains bypass control cabinet design, allowing for seamless power switching even in extreme conditions, further improving overall power supply reliability.
Mr. Huang, the client, was highly satisfied with our off grid solar power solution and ultimately reached a cooperation agreement with us. The solar system was successfully installed at off grid solar power station in Yunnan, China, and quickly put into testing, providing stable 380V three phase power supply for 10HP air source heat pump. During testing, the inverter output voltage remained stable, the equipment startup process was smooth, and there were no significant voltage fluctuations. Under good sunlight conditions, the system can achieve all weather solar priority power supply, eliminating dependence on the grid; at night or when sunlight is insufficient, the battery energy storage system can ensure the continuous operation of critical loads. The off grid solar power station has alleviated the high electricity bill pressure for surrounding residential, industrial, and commercial users. For example, a small processing plant in the vicinity previously spent about 1660$ per month on electricity; since adopting the solar power system, its monthly electricity bill has decreased by more than 60%, saving more than 1,1065$ per year.
